Cold snap hits football schedule

Tuesday night's scheduled npower League One match between Oldham and Hartlepool has been called off due to the cold snap.

The playing surface at Boundary Park was covered over the weekend but a sharp drop in temperatures meant the protective sheets were penetrated by frost and the game was postponed after a 10am pitch inspection.
In the same division, Crewe's match against Sheffield United is subject to an inspection at noon.
